CLICK HERE FOR THE EXCEPTIONS TO PHOTO ID REQUIREMENT

My North Carolina. My Vote.

Beginning in 2016, most voters will need to show acceptable photo ID at the polls. This website contains information about both the requirement and the exceptions outlined in the law (S.L. 2013-381 and S.L. 2015-103). Among other exceptions, a voter may sign a reasonable impediment declaration form indicating that the voter suffers from a reasonable impediment that prevents the voter from obtaining an acceptable photo ID.

Additionally, the Voter Outreach Team is here to provide information and assistance, and can be reached by calling 1-866-522-4723 or by emailing VoterOutreach.sboe@ncsbe.gov.
